Though rupee symbol has been announced around six months back and many newspapers in India have adopted this symbol in their messages, it is still not internationally accepted yet. the good news is that Unicode Technical Committee has accepted rupee symbol, but yet it would take some time get adopted universally so that anyone can type the symbol in web apps and in their mail clients. In the mean time, the following link show how to incorporate rupee symbol (`) in the web.
Even at 63 and after retirement, I am willing to learn new things. Presently, I am learning software programming and 3D CAD & graphic operation. My background is mechanical engineering with experience in product support and project managements of MV diesel power stations and earthmoving equipment.
